After enjoying some required art classes in earning my elementary education degree, I thought maybe someday I'd have time to take more art classes, however raising a family, completing a master's degree, and teaching for almost 30 years came first.

Upon retiring, I was surprised to find many art classes offered in our area and I began enrolling.  I soon learned that watercolor was my favorite media due to it's transparency and unpredictability.  With watercolor there are always new techniques to learn and improve upon, so I continue taking lessons.

Inspired by the beauty God has created all around us, makes landscapes, seascapes, and florals my favorite subjects.  If I can bring a little of that beauty into someone's life, I feel blessed.

My husband encourages me by photographing my paintings and printing them as note cards to display at art shows, local gift shops, and to send to friends and relatives.  His computer talents also enabled him to design and set up this website.  We hope you enjoy scrolling through it!

I am so very proud of my sister Elaine for following her dreams!
Her paintings are simply beautiful. I am looking forward to selecting another one to frame!

The beauty of Elaine's heart is reflected in her paintings. I'm so proud to call her my dear friend.

Beautiful job, Mom, as always! I enjoy seeing all your paintings, and wondering what the next one will be! Dad does a great job with the photography, printing and presentation on your website, too! Keep on painting, and enjoying every minute of it! Love you!
